Climate in Asheville NC area
Our wonderful climate is one of the reasons so many people choose to live or relocate to Asheville. Ro has lived in numerous climates, including England (gorgeous spring and summers when the clouds shift), Washington DC, with its humid summers, hard freezes in winter and moments of perfect weather in the spring and summer, San Diego voted to be in the top 3 climates in the world, Miami Beach with its coastal breezes and now Asheville with its mild temperatures, lots of sunshine, a few snowflakes, and rain that keeps the mountains lush and green. She thinks that Asheville has the best climate she has found. Many of our clients from Florida and other areas appreciate the defined seasons without the harshness found in so many areas in the US. The area does experience harsh freezing rain, however this generally happens once a year and the next day things return to normal. The climate also brings all kinds of delicate flora that only found in the mountains. Note that temperatures can change at a moment's notice in the mountains, and that depending on your elevation the temperature can vary by as much as 10 degrees or more. For example, Black Mountain just 15 minutes away from Asheville is often 5 degrees cooler than Asheville.
